A Sprint on the Original Olympic Track

OLYMPIA. Wow-I’m really here. I love history, even if I don’t always remember all of the details. Mycenae was interesting, but Olympia blew my mind. This is where they lit the Olympic torch on numerous occasions and where athletes have come to demonstrate their abilities many times.

Here is the arch leading onto the original Olympic track. Next to this entrance were the bodies of those who had tried lying and cheating to enter or win the events. How motivating, right?

We could not resist a sprint on the track!
